As we begin to roll into spring, the flowers are starting to bloom, and leaks about upcoming GPUs are popping up like daises. The latest round concerns Nvidia’s upper-midrange GPUs, the RTX 4060 Ti and the RTX 4070. We now have what appears to be box art for add-in board (AIB) partners for the RTX 4060 Ti and rumored pricing for the RTX 4070. Both cards are expected to arrive in the next two months, theoretically beating AMD in the ~$600 to $450 price range.
First, a Twitter leaker posted a template for the RTX 4060 Ti GPU box art. This is sent to Nvidia’s partners so they can add their images, ancillary info, and a photo of its GPU, or an eagle, dragon, robot, or robot eagle. Unfortunately, all this does is confirm the existence of the GPU but none of the specs. There’s also a list of its generic features in the tweet; DX12 Ultimate and DLSS 3 are expected on any 40-series GPU.
AIBs are given this “fill in the blanks” template for upcoming GPUs.

The big question with the RTX 4060 Ti is how it will distance itself from the RTX 4070, which has been confirmed to offer 12GB of VRAM. It will likely have just 8GB, similar to the RTX 3060/Ti, but remember there is also an RTX 3060 with 12GB. The most significant change is to the memory bus, rumored to be 128-bit for the 4060 Ti. That’s half the width of the RTX 3060, but Nvidia will likely make up for it with faster memory and more L2 cache, according to HotHardware. Pricing is still unknown, but recall the RTX 3060 Ti launched at $399.
Videocardz says three sources told it the pricing for the upcoming RTX 4070, which is $599. That comes in at $200 less expensive than the RTX 4070 Ti but $100 more expensive than the launch price for the RTX 3070. It’s another instance of Nvidia nudging its card prices up a notch into the sector above them, as it’s done previously. The RTX 4070 will have the same price as the RTX 3070 Ti at launch. However, earlier rumors tipped the 4070 to offer a ridiculous $749 MSRP, so we’re glad that didn’t happen. The RTX 4070 might also be a popular GPU, as it’ll be the first Ada GPU to offer a 12VHPWR or 8-pin power cable.
The RTX 4070 is expected to launch in the middle of April. The same tipster who leaked the box art also says the RTX 4060 Ti will come at the end of May, but Nvidia isn’t sure when it will launch the card that everyone is waiting for: the RTX 4060.
