You can delete ooVoo account either through the Mobile App or by using the desktop application.

Step-By-Step Guide On How To Delete ooVoo Account Using The Mobile App

Below are set of instructions involved when deleting ooVoo account using the Mobile App:

Step 1: Open ooVoo app icon from your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching for it, and then log in if prompted.

Step 2: On the top left corner of your screen, you’ll see the three-line menu icon, click on it.

Step 3: On the top right corner of the menu, you’ll see this pencil icon, click on it.

Step 4: In the “Display Name” field, enter “closed”. Click in the text field to enable your keyboard.

Step 5: You will see ‘Change Profile Picture’ under the “Display Name” field, click on it.

Set your profile picture to something generic. For instance, you could use the sky or the generic avatar silhouette.

Step 6: Click an icon that indicates OK to save the changes that were made and continue.

Step 7: Click on a check mark, and if the menu didn’t close when you clicked it, then you can skip this step.

Step 8: Click Settings found next to a gear icon close to the bottom of the menu.

Step 9:  Go to the third option on the menu which is Privacy & Security, and click on it.

Step 10: Under “When people search in ooVoo, who can find me?”, click to choose “No one”.

Once you do this, you will notice that the circle next to “No one” will be filled with an orange check mark to show that it is selected.

Step 11: Lastly, uninstall the app.

If you are an Android user, click and hold an icon and tap Uninstall when it slides up. 

If you are an iOS user, click and hold an icon until they begin to shake, then click the X icon located in the top left corner of the app thumbnail.

For Mac users, drag and drop the application icon into the trash can.

Finally, for Windows users, you are to uninstall the program with the use of the Control Center.

With the aforementioned steps, you have succeeded in setting your profile back to a default profile with generic information which means that you are no longer connected to the account.

Step-By-Step Guide On How To Delete ooVoo Account Using The Desktop App

Follow the instructions below to delete ooVoo account using this method:

Step 1: Open ooVoo located in your Start Menu or Applications folder, and log in if prompted.

Step 2: Click the ooVoo tab found in the horizontal menu close to the top of the application window.

Step 3: Move your cursor over My profile. A menu should expand to the right.

Step 4: Click Edit my profile, and a new window will appear.

Step 5: In the “Display Name” field, type “Closed”.

Click inside the text field to activate your keyboard.

Step 6: Click Change Profile Picture. You’ll see this under the “Display Name” field.

Step 7: Click Save. You’ll see this in the bottom right corner of the window.

Step 8: Click the ooVoo tab again located in the horizontal menu close to the top of the application window.

Step 9: Click Settings located close to the bottom of the menu next to a grey gear icon.

Step 10: Click Privacy. It is usually the second yellow grouping of menu options.

Step 11: Under the “Connecting on ooVo” header, click to select “Nobody may find or view my ooVoo profile”. This is the first setting on the page.

Step 12: Click to change the settings to “No one” for the other questions. 

Step 13: Click Save which is located in the bottom right corner of the window.

Step 14: Click the ooVoo tab again. You’ll find this in the horizontal menu near the top of the application window.

Step 15: Click Settings located close to the bottom of the menu next to a grey gear icon.

Step 16: Go to the fourth yellow grouping of menu options which is Notifications, and click on it. 

Step 17: Click every box to uncheck them because a checked box is an indication that notification is still active.

Step 18: Find Save at the bottom right corner of the window and click on it.

Step 19: Uninstall ooVoo from your computer.
